Tales from the Pitch

Put the event back in coach!

The taken out event instantly gets moved to a new date instead of being canceled

Players!

First of all, thank you for your patience.

It's been a rocky some weeks for everyone and we greatly appreciate your patience. For everyone not having heard it so far, I want to direct you to the fantastic guys over at the 'Singled Out' podcast whom I sat down with some days ago to have a chat about the game, the WTC, and Guild Ball in general.

You can find the episode here

Most of the info is in there but to give you a short run-down:

  • The Guild Ball WTC is still on track for 16-18 October in Semmering, Austria.
  • The slots for the tournament are filling up fast and we have already exceeded the size of last years WTC.
  • The team is committed to creating a fantastic event and is working hard, day in, day out, to make it happen.
  • Also there was a spoiler for a miniature that we are creating for the WTC. See the spoiler image below!

But it would be kinda moot to write a blog post if there were no new information in it, so here we go:

I've negotiated with the hotel and we have a written extention to our agreement. Should governments prevent the WTC from occuring on its original dates, a rescheduling to end of March or early April 2021 would be possible without any extra costs.

This is great news because it gives us double the chance to organize the whole thing.

Personally I think that we should be fine, but who knows in theese daunting times :) In the end, it is upon us to stay healty, break the Vassal servers, and kiss our beloved ones!

Cheers,

Skerolf
